Green Way Flexible Tooth Harrows for Soil Preparation
The Green Way flexible tooth harrow is used for continuous surface cultivation of the field after primary tillage and before seeding. The working sections follow the contours of the ground, loosen the topsoil, level the surface, and help conserve moisture.
The “Avers-Agro” catalog features mounted models with working widths ranging from 4.3 to 9 meters and trailed models with working widths ranging from 5.3 to 24 meters. The wide range of Green Way flexible harrows makes it possible to find the right machine for small-scale farmers.
The main functions of a flexible harrow:
- breaking up the surface crust and retaining moisture;
- leveling the field and breaking up clods after cultivation or disc harrowing;
- loosening the topsoil before seeding;
- eliminating weeds in the early stages of growth;
- distributing crop residues and caring for crops.

The width is selected based on the tractor’s power, the size of the fields, the required productivity, and transportation conditions.
What is a flexible tooth harrow used for?
It retains moisture, helps control young weeds, levels the surface, loosens the topsoil, and breaks up the crust.
Is there a flexible harrow for heavy soils?
Yes, heavy-duty sections of the flexible harrow with reinforced teeth are available for use on heavy soils. They are installed in the tractor’s wheel tracks to better loosen compacted soil and ensure consistent tilling quality across the entire working width. This option requires an additional 10 hp of tractor power.
What type of tooth is installed on the harrow?
A forged tooth manufactured in-house. In terms of weight and geometric characteristics, it is an exact replica of the McFarlane tooth.
What type of steel are the teeth made of?
Green Way teeth are made of high-strength 60С2А steel. The length of the working part, which has undergone high-frequency hardening, is 100 mm. They are mounted using a metric nut.

Do the flexible blades differ between narrow- and wide-width models?
No. The flexible blades are the same on all Green Way models.
Can the tilling intensity be adjusted?
Yes. Green Way has 6 settings for adjusting the tooth angle of attack, so settings can be selected based on soil conditions and the desired result.
How is the tooth angle adjusted?
- two main positions — 38° and 50° are adjusted by rotating the tine sections;
- four additional positions — 15°, 20°, 35°, and 40° are set using a set of washers.

Additional angle-of-attack settings: 15°, 20°, 35°, and 40°
What is the working depth?
3 to 8 cm — depending on the angle of attack set for the working parts and soil conditions.
What is the recommended working speed?
10 – 15 km/h.
How many passes are required to achieve the desired result?
When properly adjusted, the harrow is designed to achieve the desired result in a single pass. The final number of passes depends on the condition of the field and the customer’s objectives.
How are the wings secured?
On models up to and including 14 m, the wings are secured with cables. On models 15 m and larger, they are secured with rigid links.
What is the service life of the teeth?
The stated service life of the teeth is 10,000 hectares or more.
What is the service life of the harrow itself?
Green Way harrows have been in operation since 2017 to date, there have been no instances of harrows completely failing.
